1. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used or published on Afritales without permission, please submit a written notice to our Copyright Agent that includes the following:

  • Your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email
  • A clear description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • The exact URL(s) or location on Afritales where the infringing material appears
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by you, your agent, or the law
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner
  • Your electronic or physical signature

2. Counter-Notice by the Content Owner

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice that includes:

  • Your name, address, phone number, and email
  • Identification of the material that was removed and its original location
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts (or your local equivalent if outside Nigeria) and will accept service of process from the original complainant
  • Your signature (physical or electronic)

3. Repeat Infringer Policy

Afritales may suspend or permanently terminate accounts of users who repeatedly violate copyright laws or submit abusive takedown requests.

4. Important Notes

  • Filing false DMCA claims is illegal and may result in legal liability.
  • We aim to respond to all valid notices within 5–10 business days.
