Final Part – The Last Covenant
I know I killed my family. I know I murdered a mad woman. But in my mind, it was necessary a final, brutal offering to rid the world of a greater evil. At least, that's what I told myself.
Maybe it was too extreme. Maybe I'm mad too.
As an altar boy, I was always drawn to the supernatural. Something in me could sense them the shadowed beings hiding behind human smiles. My living nightmare began in a dream: I was laughing with my best friends when my father and sister appeared, drenched in blood. Why? they asked.
A cold cry brushed my shoulder. I woke up to find the Beasts the dark angels towering over me. In that moment, I realized the truth: I had been their target all along.
When my mind cleared, I was standing in the living room, an axe in my hand, blood on my arms. My father and sister lay lifeless at my feet. My mother was on her knees, sobbing, cursing my name.
But deep down, a quiet voice whispered: I saved them. From something worse.
The Beasts had whispered to me all my life. I wasnt a warrior for good I was their weapon. Their final test was simple: seal them inside my mother, break her mind, then kill her. And I did.
They rewarded me with knowledge. If I wanted to have it all, I had to pay the ultimate price. And I paid in full.
Now, standing before the burning wreck of our mansion, the police never questioned me. They accepted my words without hesitation. The fire took everything except me.
Twenty years later, I am the CEO of the largest oil well in West Africa. My name is spoken with respect, fear, and envy. All because I gave up a family for a kingdom.
Working with fallen angels maybe its better than fighting them. And that doesn't make me bad.
